Becky Carpenter

Development Project Manager

As Development Project Manager, Becky works with clients, partners, contractors, and consultants in managing the pipeline of development opportunities for the company, assists with construction management activities for active development projects, and provides data analytics and insight to support internal decision making.

Becky has over 13 years of experience and brings a process-oriented focus to the company, with experience establishing technical and business development processes for several organizations. Most recently, Becky managed business development for a Birmingham-based geospatial technology firm, managing leads and opportunities throughout the sales life cycle and coordinating technical and sales expertise for client engagements. She has a strong technical background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and as a Sr. Technical Lead for a Department of Defense contractor, oversaw cartographic production and designed workflows. Her experience also includes working for the American Institute of Architects and Gensler Architecture and Design in their D.C. offices, where she coordinated project deliverables, scheduling, and communication with clients, developers, and consultants.

Originally from California, Becky earned her Bachelor's from the University of Michigan, and a Master's of Regional, Environmental, and Urban Planning from the University of Alabama. While pursuing her Master's she studied resource use and economic development in Ghana, was first in her class, and received the Departmental Chairperson's Award for Academics with a research focus on urban revitalization.
